Decide who hears about what, and through which channel.
Events and channels#
Where Settings → Notification settings
A grid of events by channel. Toggle a channel for one event, or for every event at once. Quick set offers Recommended, In-app only and All off. Changes apply to new notifications. A channel that is not set up shows not set up with a shortcut to configure it.
The events you can switch on or off are: sale.completed, payment.received, invoice.overdue, refund.issued, stock.low, purchase.received, leave.requested, leave.approved, leave.rejected, overtime.pending_approval, payroll.processed, approval.required, fiscal_period.locked, customer.created.
Channels#

Mail#
Where Settings → Mail

| Sending via | Your SMTP (better delivery, and e-mails come from your domain) or Server default. |
| From name, From e-mail, Replies go to | What customers see in their inbox. |
| SMTP server, Port, Security, Username, Password | Pick your provider to fill in the server details. A saved password shows Saved — leave blank to keep. |
| Send a test | Saves first, then sends a test e-mail. |
SMS#
Where Settings → SMS
Choose the Active gateway from 22 providers (Twilio, Vonage (Nexmo), MessageBird (Bird), Plivo, Infobip, ClickSend, Telnyx, Sinch, Clickatell, TextMagic, D7 Networks, Africa's Talking, Termii, SSL Wireless, BulkSMSBD, Alpha SMS (sms.net.bd), Greenweb, MiM SMS, MSG91, Fast2SMS, Textlocal, Custom HTTP gateway), enter its credentials, and activate it. The Custom HTTP gateway connects any provider that has an HTTP API. Texts for payment links, instalment reminders and customer messages use this gateway. Manage message wording under SMS templates, and send a one-off message from Create SMS. You can also use Send notification to message your team.
