Updating Qorex
Install a new version in a few clicks, with an automatic backup first.
Where Settings → License & updates
Before an update#
The Update readiness panel checks your server. Every line should say Ready:
| Check | Why |
|---|---|
| PHP version | The update needs a supported PHP. |
| Signature check (sodium) | Qorex verifies the update's digital signature before it installs. |
| ZIP support | To unpack the update. |
| Application files writable | To replace program files. |
| Storage writable | For temporary files. |
| Free disk space | Room for the package and a backup. |
One-click update#
- When a new version is available, a pulsing dot appears next to Settings and License & updates, and a banner appears on the Dashboard.
- Open
Settings → License & updatesand read What is new. If an update needs an earlier version first, the page says so. - Press Back up & install. Your database is backed up automatically, the update is verified and applied, and the page reloads on the new version.
- Check the version at the foot of the sidebar and the Update history table, which shows each install (for example 1.0.0 → 1.0.1).
Use Check for updates any time. Qorex also checks by itself. Back up your files too on the update page creates a copy of the program files as well as the database.
- Updates are digitally signed. Qorex refuses any package that is not.
- Your
.env, uploads and data are not touched. - If something goes wrong the page shows why.
Manual update#
If your server cannot run the one-click update, download the new package, take a backup, upload the files over the old ones (keep .env and storage), then clear caches with php artisan optimize:clear over SSH.
Important
Always keep a backup before updating. See backup.
Add-on updates#
Add-ons update separately from Settings → Add-ons. A badge shows Update available and the add-on's changelog.
